With my last visit in five years ago, there's a lot to update on the 's . Unfortunately my recent stay was very brief, but here's at least an updated covering small owner-run shops offering durable and socially responsible goods, often and/or : organictraveller.de/organictra

@organictraveller My advice: Next time don't miss Mahlzahn; my #Heidelberg organic bakery of choice since basically forever: mahlzahn.de/. If you have a bit more time, you could also visit the food coop Appel un'Ei in Neuenheimer Feld, appelunei.stura.uni-heidelberg and nearby the bicycle self-help workshop URRmEL urrmel.de.

Here's an update to my guide to , including your, @syoeminenjapjoeraeily, @Anselm , additions: organictraveller.de/organictra

(Again: thanks a lot! If you don't mind, please have a quick look at it -- this time I couldn't make it to Neuenheimer Markt, so I am unsure whether the information about the shops in this area are still correct.)

@organictraveller

☺️👍

Btw: At the age of fourteen I started to buy my own bread because I didn't like the kind of bread my parents bought. Once or twice a week I went to Bäckerei Mahlzahn in Märzgasse (I think this store doesn't exist anymore) and bought good bread. 🍞

@Anselm

I'm a 100% with you, @syoeminenjapjoeraeily, @Anselm : The Mahlzahn rolls and pastries are absolutely delicious. Not as heavy and "healthy tasting" as bakery products often are. I suppose their flour is milled using a mill: organicflourmills.nz/blogs/art

@organictraveller

Oh thanks, that's interesting!

I mostly remember things like Sauerkrautschnecken. 🤤

@Anselm

@organictraveller I like the changes, in particular nudging people to Fair&Quer. I'd just say "On Neuenheimer Markt" instead of "Directly opposite the Neuenburger Markt". See here for the geometry: openstreetmap.org/?mlat=49.414
