I felt lucky that I had been able to buy a #bike #ticket on #DeutscheBahn #ICE trains for today's travel to #Dresden. All went fine until I discovered on the platform at #Leipzig Hbf that my connecting ICE 1559 wouldn't come with bike racks. I went to the information desk which sent me to the ticket office two floors down.
While queueing there I checked #bahn.de to discover that I would have been able to buy a bike ticket for this very ICE at that very moment. @mastobikes_de @fedibikes 1/2

5 minutes before the #ICE was to depart (on time !) the clerk at the ticket counter asked me to ask the conductors. I hurried up again 2 floors (carrying the #bike), but to no avail: Regretably they wouldn't allow me on board. Back at the information desk they asked me to descend to the ticket office for rebooking , but I was able to persuade them to witness the issue so that I could take the next regional train. But what if it had been later during the day? #DeutscheBahn 2/2
